Blanca is a dynamic and versatile professional with a strong commitment to education and music. From her early days as a tutor for the Highline School District in Seattle, WA, to becoming a Choir Director for her church’s kids choir, Blanca has shown her passion for teaching and nurturing young talents. She continued her pursuit of knowledge at Highline Community College and the University of Washington, where she studied Business Administration.
Later on, she became an Administrative Assistant at Trademark Productions & PureCabo. Blanca’s growth within the company led her to become a proficient Project Manager, helping guide a team of employees and utilizing her bilingual skills to facilitate client communication.
Her love for music remained constant as she served as a choir director for the adults’ choir in Detroit and continued to travel for different choir events, keeping her musical skills sharp.
Now, as the COMPÁS Program Manager, Blanca’s journey reflects her deep dedication to education, music, and professional growth. She is passionate about COMPÁS’s mission and takes great pride in fostering a creative and inclusive space for young artists in Southwest Detroit. Her strong connection with students and ability to lead instructors has led to significant growth in the program, allowing more young artists to access quality music and performing arts education.
Blanca is continuously seeking funding and new opportunities to expand COMPÁS, ensuring its long-term sustainability and ability to serve even more students. Her leadership in securing resources, building partnerships, and advocating for arts education has strengthened COMPÁS as a thriving hub for youth creativity. She remains committed to evolving the program, providing enriching experiences for students, and creating lasting opportunities for artistic growth in the community.
